Balasore train accident; Food supply to passengers by BBMP
Bangalore, June 04: Indian Railways has halted the movement of more than 70 trains due to the horrific train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, so the work to clear the debris on the tracks is in full swing.
Due to the tragic train accident on Friday evening, the trains have been canceled, so thousands of animals that were supposed to travel to the North-Eastern states, including Odisha of West Bengal, have been stranded at various railway stations in the country.
It has been informed that the repair work of the railway track is going on efficiently, so train services are likely to resume on this route by Sunday evening.

Food Supply to Passengers by BBMP:
On the orders of Karnataka’s Honorable Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Brihat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palika [BBMP] arranged food, water, etc. for stranded passengers at railway stations, besides milk biscuits for children at two railway stations.
The Chief Commissioner of BBMP Tushar Girinath visited the railway station and inspected the food and water arrangements, while the passengers who were stuck at the railway stations expressed their concern for the help provided by the BBMP and that the facility provided was very useful.

Talking about the terrible train accident like the one that happened on Friday evening, Siddaramaiah said that the passengers who are stuck in our state and cannot travel on the Odisha route are facing difficulties at several stations in Bengaluru.
A lot of such passengers who are in trouble here are working-class people who spend the day at Baiyappanahalli railway station, so it is our responsibility to provide their basic food needs, he said.
Therefore, he instructed the BBMP Commissioner to make arrangements for all of them, including food, drinking water, and other necessities.
