Addressing a press conference on 15th June 2023, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister for Women and Child Development of Karnataka said, “From 16th June 2023, the application for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme can be submitted online with the help of Seva Sindhu Portal, and you can submit the application through Karnatka One, Bangalore One, GramOne, Mysore One, Nada Kacheris, Bapuji Seva Kendra & Local Government Seva Centres.

Karnataka State Government has invited applications for this Gruha Lakshmi Scheme online and also offline through Karnataka One, Bangalore One, Village One, Mysore One, Nada Offices, and Bapuji Seva Kendra, and thus 2.14 crore women of Karnataka will be the beneficiaries of this Grilahakshmi Yojana.
After verifying the applications received, the first month’s allowance will be credited directly to the beneficiary’s account on August 15, 2023.

Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Eligibility or Guidelines
- Such women applicants should belong to Antyodaya, BPL, and APL families.
- Women who are identified as the head of the family will benefit from Antyodaya, BPL, and APL ration cards issued by the government.
- Only one female head of the family will get the benefits of the scheme.
- This scheme does not apply to women government employees.
- Women taxpayers are not eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.
- If the husband of the female head of the family is paying income tax or filing GST returns, the woman of that family will not get the benefits of the scheme.
