DPR for Namma Metro Sarjapur to Hebbal Route

Bengaluru: Detailed Project Report (DPR) for our Metro Phase 3 project is ready. Our Metro Phase 3 project will connect Sarjapur to Hebbal. 16,543 crores to carry out this war. There are 28 stations along the approximately 37 km route. The proposal for the project was submitted in 2020 itself. Engineers are expected to benefit immensely from this route.

Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai had announced the project at an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore in the 2022-23 budget. The Sarjapur-Hebbal Metro line will pass through Agra, Koramangala, and Dairy Circle. A Mumbai-based company was entrusted with the responsibility of preparing the Comprehensive Project Report (DPR). It is proposed to construct a tunnel from Hebbal to Koramangala and an elevated line from there to Sarjapur.

Many paths converge;

The special feature of this new route is that Blue, Pink, Purple, and Phase-3 ‘A’ will merge. The blue route starts from the Ibbadilur-Central Silk Board Junction and connects to Kempegowda International Airport. Ahead the pink route joins the dairy circle. It helps those going towards Bannerghatta Road or MG Road. The proposed station near KR Circle (Near Vidhana Soudha) is Sir M. of Purple Line operation. It will be merged with Visvesvaraya station. Near Hebbal, it connects to the Blue Line and Phase 3 ‘A’ (Kempapur to JP Nagar) and a suburban railway station (Baiyappanahalli to Chikkabanavara).

7 stations on Bellary Road;

In the past, the government has formulated many projects including an 8 km long high-speed train from Basaveshwar Circle to Hebbal, and a steel bridge project to relieve traffic congestion on Bellary Road, but none of the projects have been implemented. Now the metro project is expected to be helpful.

Congestion on the way to the airport will be reduced;

The vehicular traffic between Basaveshwar Circle and Hebbal will be reduced from the Sarjapur-Hebbal route. BMRCL sources said that seven stations will come up at Basaveshwara Circle, Bangalore Golf Course, Palace Guttahalli, Mekhri Circle, Veterinary Medical College, Ganganagar, and Hebbal.
