Vande Bharat Train between Bangalore and Madurai: Bangalore has a new Vande Bharat train service that will operate between Bangalore and Madurai, starting official service from Monday. Where does it stop? How much is the ticket price? Here’s all the information you need.

Bengaluru: Governor Thawarchand Gehlot welcomed the new Vande Bharat train, which arrived at Bengaluru Cantonment station from Madurai in Tamil Nadu on Saturday night. This is the 8th Vande Bharat train to operate in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the green signal to three Vande Bharat trains during a virtual program held in New Delhi. The train departed from Madurai at 12:30 PM and reached Bangalore at 8:00 PM.

Official Launch from Monday

The new saffron-colored Vande Bharat train, which will officially start running from September 2, will operate six days a week between Bangalore and Madurai, except on Tuesdays.

Here is the Schedule: Train (20671) departs from Madurai Junction Station at 5:15 AM and arrives at Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station at 1:00 PM, traveling via Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, and KR Puram. The travel time is approximately 8 hours, and the ticket price is set at ₹1,575.

Train (20672) departs from Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station at 1:30 PM on six days of the week, except Tuesdays, and arrives at Madurai Junction at 9:45 PM on the same day, traveling via KR Puram, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchirappalli, and Dindigul. The distance between Bangalore and Madurai is 521 km.

Mangalore-Kollam Special Train Service:

Special trains will operate between Mangalore and Kollam to manage the heavy rush of passengers during the Onam holidays. Train No. 06047 Mangalore Junction – Kollam Junction Special Train will depart from Mangalore at 11:00 PM on September 2, 9, 16, and 23, and will arrive at Kollam Junction at 10:20 AM the following day.

Train No. 06048 Kollam Junction – Mangalore Junction Special Train will depart from Kollam Junction at 6:55 PM on September 3, 10, 17, and 24, and will arrive at Mangalore Junction at 7:30 AM the next day, according to the Railway Department.
