Bangalore: Gears Up for Grand New Year Celebrations in Bangalore with Tightened Police Security Measures
New Year Celebrations in Bangalore: All over the city of Bangalore, grand preparations are made to welcome the year 2024. Brigade Road is everyone’s favorite place to celebrate New Year. On the other hand five-star hotels, clubs, pubs, restaurants, and party halls.. are celebrating the new year everywhere.
In the meantime, Bengaluru Police has been vigilant and has warned against any untoward incident during the New Year celebrations. As a precautionary measure, most of the flyovers except the airport flyover have been decided to be closed.
Bengaluru: Silicon City is all set to welcome the year 2024 and preparations are underway across the city. Arrangements are made to host parties and dinners in five-star hotels, clubs, pubs, and restaurants. Meanwhile, the police department, which has made tight security across the city, has set a deadline of 1 am for the celebration. Vehicular traffic has been restricted from 11 pm on December 31 to 6 am the next day on all flyovers except the flyover on the International Airport route.
Our metro service has been extended till 2.15 pm on January 1 given New Year celebrations. Also, bus services are provided from BMTC to MG Road and Brigade Road to different parts of the city.
Bangalore Attracts Visitors from Across States:
People from outside the state, and outside the state and districts have flocked to celebrate the New Year in IT-BT City. Due to this, rooms are booked in hotels and restaurants. The tickets for the party, dinner party, music evening, DJ and other entertainment programs organized on the night of the 31st are selling very well. It is said that the ticket price starts from Rs.1000 and reaches up to Rs.50,000.
Malls, restaurants, and pubs in the city are decorated and glittering to attract customers. Couples’ admission to parties and family packages have also been announced. Many pubs and clubs host music evenings with famous singers and DJs. Western, Desi, Bollywood, and Rayup songs are scheduled at various venues and will be staged on the last night of the year.
Greater Preparation this Time Compared to the Last Time
As compared to last year, this time the police department has made preparations to welcome the New Year celebrations in the city, and as a precautionary measure, the police department has made tight security. More than five thousand policemen have been deployed for security.
Police surveillance has been increased around Brigade Road, MG Road, and Indiranagar, Koramangala where lakhs of people gather. Security measures should be taken in hotels, pubs, and restaurants and CCTV footage of the entire night should be collected. In addition, a strict instruction has been given that customer details should also be obtained.

Police Focus on Drug Supply
Separate police teams are keeping an eagle eye on the suspicion that drugs are being supplied at parties. In addition, joint teams have been formed with the Excise Department to monitor the possibility of illegal supply of liquor. Also, temporary check posts have been constructed within each police station. For the safety of women, more than 16 ‘safety islands’ have already been constructed on Brigade Road, in addition to which 69 women’s outposts have been constructed in the city.
