Amrit Bharat Express Commences Commercial Operations Between Malda – Bangalore on January 1st

Amrit Bharat Express Between Malda – Bangalore: The train will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30 and will reach Amrit Bharat Nagar on January 1 for the inaugural run. It stops at Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal here. Commercial traffic will start in the next week. The schedule and fare list of this train is yet to be decided.

Amrit Bharat Express Between Malda - Bangalore

Bengaluru (Dec 29): The ‘Amrit Bharat’ train, which provides affordable services to the poor and middle-class people of the state, especially the migrant workers, has reached the state and will ply between Malda-Bangalore in West Bengal. The train will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30 and will reach Amrit Bharat Nagar on January 1 for the inaugural run.

It stops at Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal here. Commercial traffic will start in the next week. South Western Railway officials said that the schedule and fare list of this train is yet to be decided.

This train provides more convenience to the construction, fishing, and road workers coming to the state from West Bengal, Bihar, and Odisha than the people of Karnataka. About 1,800 people can travel comfortably on this train. It is noteworthy that although Malda is in West Bengal, it is close to the Bihar border.

It will pass through Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh and enter Karnataka through Tamil Nadu. SMVT will reach the station via Malda, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Sitakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Satapadi, Jolarpet, Bangarapet.

Amrit Bharat has a maximum speed of 130 kmph. Will travel fast. It has a front-rear engine like the MEMU train, so there is no need to change the engine when it stops at a dead end. Also, it will have push-pull technology, LHB type of Coach.

Consisting of 22 (12+8) coaches including Second Class Sleeper Coach and Unreserved, Air-Conditioned (AC) system, no automatic doors. There will be CCTV, mobile charging points, LED lights, and other facilities.

These trains will be in saffron and gray colors and it is estimated that the railway department is spending around ₹ 65 crore to build one Amrit Bharat train. Low-fare Amrit Bharat trains are designed for day-night operation, This train can cover a distance of more than 800 km.

South Western Railway officials said that the train had successfully run a trial run between Mumbai’s Wadi Bandar yard on October 29 and Ahmedabad-Mumbai in November.
