 BBMP Encroachment Clearance Operations; BBMP has again taken up the task of clearing encroachment on the lake and encroachment on Rajkaluve. In this regard, the BBMP commissioner held a meeting and instructed the officials. A survey of 100 lakes has been conducted. Bengaluru: Many places including huge water channels and lakes under the jurisdiction of BBMP have already been identified and the work of clearing them will start soon.

3,176 encroachments have been identified in the city. Out of these 2,322 seats have passed and 854 are pending. Out of them, 155 encroachment cases are pending in court and orders for 487 places are under implementation. The tehsildar has issued an order for 162 encroachment sites and the operation will be started soon.

Officials of the Raj Canal Division informed the meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath at the BBMP office regarding the encroachment clearance operation of the Raj Canal.

In the last 15 days, Gunjur, Karimammana Agrahara, Bellathur, and K.R. 62 encroachments including 10 shops in 3 storied buildings were cleared in survey number 69 of Pura. Similarly, officials informed the meeting that 8 places have been cleared in the Yalahanka zone and 5 in the Bommanahalli zone.

Chief Commissioner Tushara Girinath said, ‘More land surveyors are needed for the survey work of the city’s big canals and lakes, and in this context, he instructed the officials to write a letter to the Land Survey Department. , revenue system and land records should be assigned immediately and necessary action should be taken.

Encroachment has been identified in 159 lakes out of 202 lakes under the corporation. Accordingly, a letter has been written to the Tehsildar regarding the encroachment of 140 lakes. Out of these, the survey of 40 lakes has been completed and the remaining 100 lakes should be surveyed quickly, he instructed the officials.

The encroachment of major waterways of the city should be surveyed and marked by land surveyors. Also, the encroachments ordered by the Tehsildar should be cleared immediately. He gave strict instructions to the officials that the cases in which there is a stay in the High Court should be settled quickly and the operation should be expedited.

Encroachment should be cleared collaboratively; The revenue department has already instructed to identify encroachment of the lake and Rajkaluve at the appointed time. After that, the Tehsildar will issue a notice to the encroachers. After that, the officials of the corporation and the revenue department should clear the encroachment in collaboration with the police department.
