Bengaluru-Mysuru Train: A train runs between Bengaluru-Mysuru every 10 minutes
Bengaluru-Mysuru Train: In a significant move to enhance passenger infrastructure for daily travel, education, and other purposes on the Bengaluru-Mysurue railway line and promote economic growth, the South Western Railway (SWR) department has launched a survey to construct a four-track system. Once the work is completed, the Railway Board plans to run trains at intervals of 10 minutes on the Bengaluru-Mysuru railway line, increasing the convenience of travel for passengers.
The SWR Railway Department in collaboration with the Indian Railway Network has undertaken a comprehensive survey to lay additional tracks from Bangalore to major railway lines across the state. The approval from SWR has paved the way for the commencement of the final site survey, marking a significant milestone for this ambitious railway project.
After the successful completion of the four-track project, trains will run between Bangalore and Mysore at 10-minute intervals, the railway chief confirmed. After implementation, two sets of trains will operate independently, connecting Bangalore to Mysore and vice versa, Railway Board officials said.
Unlike metro systems, suburban railway systems in all Indian cities are seamlessly integrated into the national railway network, ensuring optimal utilization of infrastructure. Currently, K-Ride is tasked with constructing four corridors within Bangalore city limits.

Plans include the operation of suburban trains at a frequency of 10 minutes, effectively covering vast areas of Bangalore and its surrounding cities. This visionary initiative reflects a commitment to improving travel efficiency and promoting a more connected and accessible urban transport network.
