Duplicate Documents Scam in Bengaluru: Not only online but also offline the cases of cheating by duplicating documents are on the rise. Recently, there has been an increase in cases of fraud using the Aadhaar card and PAN cards have come to light in Bangalore, here is more information.
Bengaluru, Dec 12: A case has come to light where miscreants have sanctioned a loan of Rs 20 lakh by using the documents of a private company employee in Bangalore. The police started an investigation and registered an FIR against two private bank employees and a loan agent named Mrityunjaya Kumar.
Kishore went to the bank in November to inquire about the loan. But the CIBIL score is low and the bank staff said that they have already taken a loan of 20 lakhs from two different banks.
Kishore, who was worried about this, when he collected more details, found that he had taken a loan of Rs 15 lakh from a private bank in Kasturi Nagar in December and another bank on Rajaram Mohan Road had taken a loan of Rs 5 lakh. In reality, he did not get any loans. Also, he did not have an account with the banks that had given him the loan.

Later, Kishore visited the concerned banks and questioned the staff. It is learned that Mrityunjaya Kumar had submitted Kishore’s PAN card, Aadhaar card, and other documents to get the loan. At present, the police are investigating the matter and notices have been issued to the accused, including the bank employees, and they are interrogating them. A senior police official said further action will be taken after verification of documents.
