Namma Metro Rail Services have been extended for the India-Afghanistan T20 cricket Match to be held on January 17 in Bengaluru.
Namma Metro Rail Services Extended: BMRCL has informed that metro train services have been extended on January 17 due to the T20 cricket tournament between India and Afghanistan being held in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru (January 15): Metro train service has been extended on January 17 given the T20 cricket tournament to be held in Bengaluru.
On the occasion of the upcoming T20 cricket match in Bengaluru, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will extend train services from four terminal metro stations of the Purple and Green lines till 11.45 pm.
For the convenience of passengers, return journey paper tickets will be available for sale at all metro stations from 17th January 2024 on Wednesday from 2.00 PM onwards. These paper tickets are limited to one journey from Cubbon Park and MG Road Metro Station to any other Metro Station during the extended period of the day from 8.00 PM onwards.

In addition to this day’s Rs 50 paper ticket, QR code tickets with a 5% discount on the regular fare are valid for the entire day if purchased on the day of the match. The public is advised to purchase QR tickets on WattsApp/ Namma Metro App/ Pay TM for the start of the cricket match for convenient travel. Smart cards and NCMC cards can also be used as usual.
Only QR tickets, smart cards, and paper tickets are allowed at Cubbon Park and MG Road Metro stations during extended hours. Passengers are requested to use the above facility to avoid crowding at the ticket counters to buy tickets at Cubbon Park and MG Road Metro stations.
