Namma Metro: Now Emergency helpline service is available from BMRCL for passenger safety
Namma Metro has recently woken up after the rape of women passengers. Passengers are requested to use the helpline for assistance. Here is the detail about this.
BENGALURU: Responding to the recent incident of assault on a female passenger, Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has assured the public of its commitment to the safety and emergency assistance of passengers.
BMRCL emphasizes that their security personnel are alert and ready to assist in any emergency. Passengers are encouraged to contact the control center at 080: 2519 1208, 080 2216 2258 / 2208, and toll-free helpline 1800-425-12345 if they require immediate assistance.

Further, BMRCL has installed a four-button emergency alert system in all metro coaches. Passengers can use this system to communicate with train operators and seek assistance in emergencies, ensuring prompt assistance at the next station.
Addressing the recent incident of assault on a female passenger at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station on December 7, BMRCL reported that the security personnel acted swiftly. A BMRCL release said that the attacker was arrested and handed over to the nearest police station for further action. The Corporation is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers using Metro services.
