Bomb Threats Unsettle Bengaluru: Raj Bhavan Targeted After Series of School Threats

Bomb Threats for Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru: On December 12, an unknown person made a threatening call saying that a bomb had been planted in the Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru. An atmosphere of apprehension prevailed at the spot, a call was made to the police control room around 11:30 pm, prompting a quick response from city officials, including the bomb squad and dog squad, who immediately conducted a thorough search of the Raj Bhavan.

After receiving a bomb threat call, a case has been officially registered at the Bangalore Assembly Police Station and a comprehensive investigation has been started. Although the identity of the person behind the threat is unknown, authorities are actively tracking the caller’s phone number.

Before this incident, about 48 schools in Bangalore received bomb threat calls. These threats were forwarded through emails indicating the presence of bombs in various private schools across the city. Subsequent police investigations revealed these threats to be unfounded.

Specifically, bomb threat emails targeted 15 private schools in Basaveshwaranagar, Yalahanka police station, 5 schools in Anekal, and schools near Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s residence. While the authorities were investigating these incidents, a separate bomb threat call emerged, this time targeting the Raj Bhavan in Karnataka.
