Suburban Rail Project Bangalore: L&T Secures ₹1040.51 Crore Contract for Construction of Corridor-4 in Bangalore’s Suburban Rail Project

Suburban Rail Project Bangalore: The L&T Company has won the tender for the construction work of Corridor-4 of the Suburban Rail Project. The contract has been awarded for ₹ 1040.51 crore and the deadline for completion of the work has been fixed in 30 months.

Corridor-4 connecting Rajanukunte (Kanaka Marg) to Ella is 48 km. There is a length. 8.960 km high route and 37.920 km. Includes horizontal tracks (excluding station buildings). This construction work contract has been awarded for 1.2 km for Corridor-1 and Corridor-4 near Yalahanka. Includes long double-decker assembly construction.

Suburban Rail Project Bangalore

BSRP will construct a 500-meter 500-meter-long elevated track under the BMRCL (Metro) line near Bennigalli. The route is equally shared between BSRP and BMRCL. BSRP officials said that this type of construction is the first in the country.

Corridor-2 (Chikkabanavara- Baiyappanahalli) work was also awarded by Larson and Toubro Limited. This work is going on in full swing.

Agreement: Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Company Limited (K-RAID), which is implementing the Bangalore Suburban Rail Project, has already signed an agreement with Germany’s prestigious KFW Development Bank for a loan of Rs 50 crore.

As a continuation of this, preparations are underway to sign a 30 crore Euro loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) in March 2024, and tenders for Corridor-1 and Corridor-3 will be invited soon. South Western Railway will soon hand over 115 acres of land for Corridor-4 work, K-Ride officials said.
