The Transport Minister inaugurated a new Bus stand at the Kempegowda International Airport and announced the expansion of Electric Bus Services.

New Bus stand at the Kempegowda International Airport: Around one lakh people travel to the city from Bangalore International Airport every day. Out of this 14 thousand people travel in BMTC buses. At present 137 buses are available and the transport minister has proposed to increase the number of electric buses in the coming days.

Bengaluru: 1 lakh people travel from Kempegowda International Airport to Bangalore every day. 14 thousand people travel in BMTC buses daily. 137 buses in 994 trips, 48 thousand km. Transport Minister Ramalingareddy said that he is leaving.

He spoke after inaugurating the new bus stand of KSRTC and BMTC from Terminal-2 of Kempegowda International Airport in the town and running the new electrical buses on Friday.

They have provided ample space for the bus stand at the airport and provided all the basic amenities. He informed me that 48 staff who speak all languages have been assigned.

Electric AC Bus;

Volvo and AC buses are old and a tender process is going on for the purchase of 320 electric buses. Non-AC 921 electric buses will be procured. The minister said that instead of Volvo, electric AC buses will be provided to the airport.

Construction of Bus Depot in Vijayapura;

After the next budget, action will be taken to construct a bus depot in Vijayapur. After the arrival of the new bus, all the routes that were stopped will start running again. and 15 to 20 lakh people are coming to the Ghati Kshetra fair.

Muniyappa has taken a special interest in the infrastructure they need. I have informed them to organize a preliminary meeting before the fair. There is money in the temple. Using it, minimum infrastructure will be provided for the devotees coming to the temple. Minister Ramalingareddy said that the Congress government will give more priority to the devotees who come to the temples.

District in-charge minister KH Muniyappa said that Kempegowda International Airport has all the facilities and is different from all other airports, it is the biggest airport.

Electric Bus Services:

He said that arrangements have been made for BMTC and Vayuvajra electric buses to go from the airport to Bangalore city and the Transport Minister has agreed to provide more buses.

Villages under Tubagere panchayat of Devanahalli taluk are inconvenienced due to the lack of a bus system, they appealed to the minister to provide bus connectivity there and promised to provide bus connectivity as soon as possible.

As the number of devotees in the Ghati Subrahmanya temple in Doddaballapur taluk has increased, Mujarai submitted a request to Transport Minister Ramalingareddy to construct a bus system and Dasoha Bhavan.

Meanwhile, Managing Director Satyavathy, Chief Operating Officer Satyakiraghunath, District Collector Dr. N. Shivashankar, airport staff, and transport staff were present.
