Bangalore Chitrasanthe 2024: Chitrasanthe which attracts a large number of art lovers every year, will be held on January 7 this time. The Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishad is organizing a national-level ‘Chitra Santhe’ in the city under the title ‘Art for All’ and this is the 21st Chitra Santhe being held at Kumarakrupa Road. Space Exhibition at Council Premises;
In the wake of the success of the Chandrayaan-3 launch, an exhibition gallery of paintings, sculptures, and other works of art including rockets, space will be built under the title Chitrasanta Antrikshayana. A space exhibition will also be held on the Parishad premises.
Even though there are regular art performances on various platforms, talented people do not get a platform. The council has been organizing Chitra Santhe for the past 20 years to provide a platform for such artists through ‘Chitra Santhe’. Not only artists but also art lovers will be able to buy their favorite films this year, says Chitrakala Parishad Vice President KS Appajaiah. Chitrasantha was organized on the first Sunday of January every year. It is being organized this time as well.
Traditional Mysore style art, Thanjavur style, Rajasthani style, Madhubani style, Paintings in oil and watercolor, Acrylic, Paintings on glass, Collage, Lithograph, Doodle, Sculpture, Video art, Graphic art, Sculpture, Installation (foundational art), Performance in various media. Art and films are showcased under one roof.
Award in the name of the founder of CKP:
Aryamurthy (founder president of Chitrakala Parishad), Kejriwal (big donors), The. In the name of former chief minister Devaraja Arasu (who allotted the land), the award including 50,000 cash each has been given for the past seven years and this time the selection process has been started. Three eminent artists will be selected for this award. This is commemorating those who were responsible for the birth of Chitrakala Parishad.
