Bangalore NIA Operations: 5 Terror Suspects Arrested & Seizure of chemicals used in the manufacture of explosives
Bangalore NIA Operations: NIA officials raided various places in Bengaluru and arrested the suspected terrorists. Explosive-making materials were also seized from them. A total of 7 people including 5 suspects and 2 contacts have been arrested. Here is more information on this.
Bengaluru: On Monday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials arrested five suspected militants who raided many places in Bengaluru on a tip-off that they were plotting sabotage in the state.
Also, chemicals used for making explosives were seized. NIA officers raided more than 10 places in the city including Sultanapally, Shivajinagar, Pulikeshinagar, RT Nagar, Badarahalli, and Chinnappa Garden in JC Nagar.

Mohammad Muniruddin, Syed Samiullah, and Mohammad Muzamil, who were associated with banned terrorist organizations, were arrested. Minaj alias M.D. Sulaiman and Syed Sameer were arrested in 9 places including Kaul Bazar, Jagriti Nagar, and Miller Town in Bellary city.
Educated youth were incited to join ISIS in the name of religion. Also, there is a plot to deploy them for terrorist activities. Based on this tip, three people were arrested.
The arrested had stored chemicals used to make explosives in the house. Sulfur, potassium nitrate, gun powder, charcoal, ethanol, weapons, electronic equipment, smart watches, cash, and some important documents were seized from his house, NIA officials said.
Mohammad Muniruddin, who lived in a rented house in Prakriti Layout near Badarahalli, was ready to join ISIS. During the attack, 7 kg was found in Mohammad Muniruddin’s house. Potassium nitrate is obtained.
Officials said that Muniruddin, an LLB graduate, was attracted to terrorist activities. Posters against Israel were seized from the houses of those who were not arrested in Bellary. Sources said that the NIA team conducted a continuous search for 5 hours and detained a total of 7 people, interrogated them, and arrested two.
